Job Title - Network Engineers/Administrators, R&D Validation.
A. Description of Deliverables – Role B: i. Execution of Jira ticket assignments that relate to Network infrastructure R&D projects. ii. Networking expertise to configure and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols on network test environments including but not limited to: BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, IPSEC and more. iii. On-premises support of network validation testbeds including protocol troubleshooting, layer 1 troubleshooting, cabling, optics insertions and reinsertions. iv. Attendance and coordination of team and project meetings. v. Adherence to Oracle’s security and safety best practices. vi. Attendance to our Santa Clara lab facility 5 days per week or on as-needed basis based on project needs. vii. Development and execution of automation scripts
viii. Design and maintenance of custom tests for networking validation. B. Acceptance criteria –
Role B: i. Completion of all jira tickets meeting or exceeding the exit criteria to be delivered with 100% execution meeting our typical SLO of 1 ticket per month for NOS upgrades and Optics Qualifications
ii. ≥95% accuracy on validation test results. Internal - General Use
iii. Documentation and runbooks delivered to Oracle’s satisfaction.
iv. Resource performance reviewed quarterly; replacements required if performance falls below expectations
