About the Role
The Insights Shop is actively seeking an experienced Email Deliverability Manager to join its growing global team. This role is essential to building stronger foundations for email communication strategies. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing email deliverability, ensuring high inbox placement rates, and supporting the development of our email marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Email Deliverability Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of email deliverability, with hands-on experience handling high email volumes.
- Guide the development of scripts to analyze email deliverability and performance.
- Set up and monitor delivery metrics, and create strategies to improve inbox placement rates.
- Legal and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements such as CAN-SPAM.
- Work with the team to maintain compliance with email standards and regulations.
- Technical Management:
- Manage DNS settings and email delivery with Email Service Providers (ESPs) and company networks.
- Maintain and improve IP reputation.
- Remedy blacklists and work with ISPs to optimize sending rates.
- Deliverability Testing & Tools:
- Conduct deliverability testing and utilize email filtering technologies.
- Work with tools like Return Path, Spamhaus, MTA, MxToolbox, SNDS, RBLS, Message Systems, and others.
- Email Design & Development:
- Construct emails that render correctly across various clients and browsers.
- Expertise in hand-coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integrating images in emails and web content.
- Collaboration & Strategy:
- Collaborate with marketing and technology teams to develop email strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deliverability issues, identifying areas for improvement.
- Drive email acquisition strategies and enhance user experience and targeting.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Run detailed deliverability reports and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge:
- Expertise in email marketing platforms, email analytics systems, and deliverability operations.
- In-depth understanding of emerging challenges in email delivery, especially with the big four inbox providers.
- Knowledge of privacy laws, including GDPR and US regulations.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in email deliverability, email marketing, or ISP/ESP industry roles.
- Proven track record of growing customer engagement and success with email platforms.
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Marketing, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
