CFD Engineer
Job Description
CFD Engineer to develop and validate computational models for high-temperature test systems involving complex heat transfer, radiation, melting, and fluid flow phenomena. The role will support simulation validation, methodology improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with design, safety, and testing teams.

Notice period: Immediate to 30 days
Key Responsibilities
- Develop CFD models for high-temperature systems including heat transfer, natural convection, radiation, melting, and fluid flow
- Perform validation of CFD simulations using in-house experimental data
- Collaborate with test and facility operations teams for data generation and post-processing to support model validation
- Improve, standardize, and document CFD modeling methodologies based on validation outcomes
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for data processing, analysis, and report generation
- Prepare and present technical documentation and validation findings through reports and presentations
- Communicate simulation results with cross-functional teams including Reactor Systems Design, Core Design, Safety Analysis, Testing, and CFD teams
- Support additional technical activities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer fundamentals
- Experience with analytical methods and CFD tools for fluid and conjugate heat transfer analysis
- Minimum 2+ years of experience using commercial CFD software
- Experience with Siemens STAR-CCM+
- Exposure to SolidWorks or STAR-CCM+ CAD modeling
- Knowledge of high-temperature simulations, natural convection, and radiation modeling
- Programming/scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, or similar) for automation and post-processing
- Experience working with experimental data for simulation validation
